For postgraduate students, each academic year begins on 1 September and ends on 31 August, and is structured into two semesters of study: the winter semester and the spring semester, each comprising at least thirteen (13) full weeks of teaching.
By decision of the University Senate, the specific starting and ending dates of the semesters are determined by resolutions of the collective governing bodies of the Schools/Departments of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
